MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person is in the hospital after a cooking fire Saturday night in northeast Minneapolis.
According to Minneapolis Fire officials, crews were called to 1011 Marshall St. NE at approximately 6 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters extinguished a fire in the kitchen and performed CPR on the victim, who was taken to HCMC. The victim’s condition is currently unknown.
This is the second instance in a week of a kitchen fire that resulted in injury or death in the Twin Cities. A St. Paul man died early last Sunday morning – the city’s first fire death of 2013.
